Regulations on residency

 PROVISION

IN THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SPECIALISTS

BY DESIGN (INASDS)

 

  1. INTRODUCTION

 

1.1.      Residents in the International Association of Design Professionals (INASDS) can be professional designers, researchers, teachers, and other professionals working in the design field, as well as design companies that recognize and comply with the Statutes of INASDS and promote its activities.

 

1.2.      The Expert Council carries out admission to INASDS residents:

 

– For INASDS Honorary Residents by special invitation;

– For INASDS Residents, this is based on an individual’s application or a decision made by the governing body of design companies.

 

1.3.      INASDS Honorary Residents have a single INASDS Honorary Resident ID card and Honorary Resident Certificate, and residents have a Certificate. All residents can use the INASDS mark, logo, and name.

 

1.4.      The composition of the Expert Council of INASDS is formed from outstanding and recognized by the world community, designers, and reputable Honorary Residents of INASDS. The Expert Council appoints a Chairman and a Secretary from its members and formalizes its decision by minutes. The Expert Council members are determined based on actual need, but there should be at least three. The Expert Council has the right to attract its work experts on the rights of consultants with an advisory vote

 

1.5.      The organization establishes the frequency of admission to Honorary Residents and INASDS Residents. Still, it should be at least once a year in the presence of invitations or appeals of candidates.

 

1.6.      This Regulation is binding for the Expert Councils, working or advisory groups, and INASDS Honorary Residents. Please comply with this Regulation’s clauses to ensure the results of the Expert Council’s work are valid.

 

  1. HONORARY RESIDENTS INASDS

 

2.1.      INASDS Honorary Residents are elected the most prominent design specialists who are reputable among the design community and who have made a significant contribution to the development of the design world.

 

2.2.      The Honorary Resident status is granted only upon special invitation of the Association, which is issued by an official letter of the Association.

 

  • INASDS Honorary Residents are determined and elected by open voting of the International Expert Council by a simple majority of votes of those present at the meeting of the Expert Council.

 

  1. PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION TO INASDS RESIDENCY

 

3.1.      Individuals – practicing designers, public associations of designers are accepted as residents based on collegial expert assessment of the level and results of their professional activity, determination of creative qualification taking into account the quantity and quality of objects made and implemented on their projects, the number of copyright certificates and patents, publications in the press, participation in exhibitions and competitions, speeches at seminars and symposiums.

3.2.      Teachers, researchers, managers, and other specialists in the design field are accepted as residents based on the results of their practical contribution to design development, design personnel training, study, propaganda, and popularization of design.

 

3.3.      Resident candidates shall submit to the Expert Council a list of documentary materials specified in p.4.2 and p.4.5 below, which shall be registered and reviewed appropriately.

 

3.4.      The Expert Council organizes reviewing, studying, and evaluating candidates’ demonstration materials. Admission to INASDS Residents is also possible in a single order. Based on the received application of a candidate for the Residency, documents, and other materials characterizing the candidate, the Expert Council decides on admission to the Residency. The decision shall be made by a simple majority of votes of those present at the meeting if there is a quorum. In case of equality of votes, the decision in favor of which the Chairman of the Committee voted shall prevail. A protocol in two copies shall formalize the decision of the Expert Council. The chairman signs the minutes and secretary of the Expert Council -Honored INASDS Residents.

 

3.5.      Denial of admission to INASDS Residents must be motivated and can be appealed to a special commission established to consider the received complaint. The decision of this commission is final and is not subject to appeal.

 

3.6.      Based on the favorable decision formalized by the minutes of the Expert Council, the Expert Council sends an invitation to the new Residents to award the Certificate. The awarding ceremony is held solemnly at an official meeting or the INASDS Board meeting. In case of impossibility to attend the ceremony, the attributes due to the INASDS Resident are sent to the Residents by courier.

 

3.7.      A person (natural or legal) excluded from INASDS Residents after three years from the date of the relevant decision has the right to reapply for admission to INASDS Residents. In such a case, the candidate’s application is considered on general grounds.

 

3.8.      INASDS residents who have made recommendations to a person previously excluded from INASDS may not make recommendations to that person upon re-entry.

 

  1. SUBMISSIONS

 

4.1.     INASDS residents provide materials at the Expert Council’s request. The resident confirms and signs the applications for admission and completes the questionnaire data.

4.2.      To be considered for admission to INASDS Residency, a candidate (individual) submits the following documents:

– Completed application form, including an application for admission;

– Recommendations from INASDS residents who have known the candidate for at least three years through their professional work;

– Copy of the education certificate;

– Copies of diplomas confirming academic degree, academic or honorary title;

– Copies of patents, copyrights, and design certificates;

– Copies of their publications and publications about their activities in the media;

– Copies of laureate and award diplomas and certificates;

– Two 35 x 45 mm color photographs.

– Photo in digital format 105 x 135 mm, 300 dpi

– Portfolio of works and projects in digital form (rec. format: PDF).

– The authorship of submitted works, projects, and materials in portfolio format is confirmed by certificates from the candidate’s place of work or by the customer’s signature and seal.

 

4.3.      Professional designers, students, and students of specialized educational institutions can become INASDS Residents by winning competitions established and supported by INASDS.

 

4.4.      Researchers and teachers provide a review written by an authority in design theorists or educators, characterizing their theoretical and methodological developments in design. The candidacy of the reviewer shall be agreed upon with the Expert Council.

 

4.5.      Legal entities joining INASDS residents as collective organizations provide:

– Questionnaire of the prescribed form;

– Copy of the Articles of Incorporation;

– Copy of the registration certificate;

– Statement of the organization’s activities;

– List of the organization’s design staff.

– Portfolio of works and projects in digital form (rec. format: PDF).

– The authorship of submitted works, projects, and materials in portfolio format is confirmed by certificates from the candidate’s place of work or by the customer’s signature and seal.
